Pinnacle Rock

Pinnacle Point

Pinnacle Rock stands on a plateau in the Cobham Nature Reserve in the southern Drakensberg. Its shear size and location left me wondering “what happened here”?

Starting out from the Cobham Ranger station, Pinnacle Rock can be reached via the Emerald Stream Trail. An 8 km hike in the valley between Ndlovini Mountain and Emerald Dome brings you to the large plateau. Pinnacle Point is a further 2 km along the plataeu. The hike along the plateau gives one plenty of opportunity to view the Elands and other animals roaming the Cobham Nature Reserve.

Truly a memorable adventure.
